The Today Show ran a segment on the important role libraries play during the recession, and the increased usage that goes along with that - Libraries lend a hand in tough times. We are seeing many of these same effects in Carmel, with more patrons than ever coming in to check out books, read newspapers and magazines, use the computers to look for work, fill out government forms, and check their email.
We have great job hunting resources - books on resumes, cover letters, and interviewing techniques; computers for typing up resumes, even a typewriter! And we have a page of recommended Web resources for the job hunter.
